We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to handle Sales in the Midwest or South Central Territories to drive revenue growth and expanding our market presence. The Sales Manager will be responsible for sales activities, developing new business and building strong customer relationships. He / She will be reporting to the Vice President of Sales and will be working out of their home office. It will be a full-time position.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A scientific / Technical background. Preferably having a College degree in science and knowledge of natural products / dietary supplement industries.
- 5 to 10 years’ work experience in B2B nutraceutical ingredients / supplements sector, with solid client networks in the Nutrition industry will be a plus.
Duties
- Will be responsible for the Business Development and Sales growth of the company’s products in Nutritional Supplements, cosmeceutical, and Functional Foods area in the assigned states in USA.
- Manage Sales in the allocated states, to meet and exceed sales targets
- Identify new business opportunities and new customers to grow business
- Market knowledge of nutrition, cosmetics ingredients and product application knowledge will be a plus. Will need to do market research to identify market trends.
- The person will be traveling 60-75% of the time, meeting B2B customers & prospects
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, technical sales, or related field
- Strong skills with the ability to close sales effectively
- Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving targets
- Proficiency in ACT or similar CRM software
- Exceptional market knowledge and understanding of customer needs
Outstanding communication skills with a focus on customer service
