We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support inventory planning and order allocation. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, we’d love to hear from you!
Location: Traverse City, MI / Mascoutah, IL
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound product in ERP system, maintaining visibility of arrivals, quantities, and specifications.
- Track inbound truck, air, and sea shipments, and expected arrival timing, communicating updates as schedules change.
- Allocate customer orders against inbound & available inventory in Famous based on inventory attributes & requirements
- Monitor inventory age and rotation, identifying aging or at-risk product and escalating as needed.
- Create work orders in ERP for pack-style changes, sorting, cleaning, repacking, and packing fruit.
- Coordinate work order priorities with Warehouse and Production teams to support daily operations.
- Support Category Managers in developing daily and weekly packing plans for growers.
- Provide system-based inventory visibility and reporting to support allocation and planning decisions.
- Communicate shortages, delays, or conflicts proactively to internal stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory management and/or warehouse operations
- Understanding of basic inventory management KPI’s such as inventory age, FIFO and rotation, and product traceability
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Proficiency in using order management systems, spreadsheets, and other relevant software. Experience using Famous ERP is preferred but not required
Desired Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a role involving warehouse operations, product allocation, or inventory management
