Objective
The National Key Account Manager is responsible for overseeing all business activities and achieving growth targets for defined national accounts. They will coordinate sales distribution through national key accounts by setting and determining business objectives, identifying and building beneficial relationships with key organizational stakeholders that can influence our brand, establishing promotional programs and sales goals while providing general oversight and management for all national and regional key accounts as specified by Natural Factors Sales Management.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales and brand building of Natural Factors product line through national key accounts in the specialty/natural channel.
  • Develop and execute approved sales plans that will increase market share of Natural Factors product line.
  • In person key account visits as directed by Director of Sales and Strategic Initiatives.
  • Develop and provide proposed strategies, analysis, and overall direction for all key account retailers in the natural products channel.
  • Execute Natural Factors sales strategies, employing approved sales enablement tools and materials, and promotions through specified key accounts.
  • Assist in the creation of, and directly oversee, yearly key account promotional budgets, sales forecasts and other applicable reports necessary for growing and maintaining the business and obtain approvals, as necessary, under promotional policy and budgetary guideline.
  • Negotiate contracts and vendor agreements with key accounts as necessary within assigned key accounts.
  • Propose and assist in the coordination of new product roll outs for natural channel key accounts and manage submissions, approvals and placements with all key retailers.
  • Maintain and organize all category review data and periods for key retailers and drive business and new item submissions forward accordingly.
  • Represent company at trade shows, association meetings and other key account venues to promote brand and products.
  • Immersive knowledge of customers’ strategic direction and preferences to uncover and capitalize on unique opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate the brand by networking with key stakeholders throughout each organization.
  • Advise accounts on all Natural Factors corporate policies and procedures to ensure optimal effectiveness of business.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and have experience working with key account portals.
 
Other Requirements
BA/BS Business Administration or other equivalent degree; 5-7 years of account management experience in the specialty/natural class of trade, supplement experience a plus.
