Job Description: 
Ingredient Sales Professional: In search of a dynamic sales leader with extensive knowledge in Nutraceuticals, Cosmeceuticals, Functional Foods, Botanical Extracts, Proteins, Essential Oils & Oleoresins, Prebiotics, Fibers, and Sweeteners. They will understand the biological function or applied uses in food, beverage, supplements, animal nutrition, cosmetics, or industrial sectors.
 
This candidate will be a proven leader and will build and inspire a team of sales representatives in-house or remotely utilizing industry-proven methods and attend trade shows throughout the US and abroad.
 
Experience: 3-7 years as a sales representative or sales manager SELLING INGREDIENTS. - Note: CPG or Beverage Industry Specialists need not apply
 
Industry understanding: Nutraceuticals, Functional Foods, Animal Nutrition, cosmeceuticals, and Industrial.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading sales teams to reach sales targets
  • Recruit, train, motivate and advise a group of 4-6 sales representatives
  • Monitor performance, ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them
  • Set quotas, evaluate, and adjust performance, and develop processes that drive sales
  • Generate leads and build and nurture client relationships
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and extends the global reach
  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs

  • Superb leadership ability
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Understands ingredient applications across industry sectors
  • Familiarity using MAC computers and software
  • Excellent communication, writing, and negotiation skills
  • Experience building and delivering engaging product presentations
