Regional Sales Manager – Eastern US (Northeast, Southeast and Midwest)

We are looking for an Eastern Region Sale Manager to help us grow our underdeveloped Eastern Region sales by threefold over the next five years. We are looking for an enthusiastic sales leader with a track record of successfully growing sales and market share, especially in good-for-you bakery products. This position will be tasked with managing the eastern half of the United States across all classes of trade including retailers, distributors, and brokers where applicable. The right candidate must be entrepreneurial, a self- starter and a leader who is driven to rapidly increase sales. Candidates who connect through positive and respectful interactions and have a strong network of relationships in the industry will be at the top of our list.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE – Working with the VP of sales in developing sales strategies across grocery, natural/specialty, big box, food service, and distributors including driving new distribution, promotions, customer marketing, sampling, and merchandising. Helping design and implement a strategic business plan that drives increased growth for existing customers while also acquiring new channels and customers. Working within an allocated trade budget, sales forecasting, overseeing initiatives with regional/local distributor and broker team, executing promotional calendars, overseeing merchandising, helping to source and vet broker prospects as needed, as well as identifying emerging opportunities and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitors.

5+ years of sales experience. Experience in a high-growth natural/specialty food products- Prior experience managing sales in the supermarket and natural/specialty channels in the Eastern half of US. Prior experience working with brokers and distributors, experience selling to the food service channel preferred.
