The Finance Manager will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, insight, and efficiency of the company’s financial operations. This individual will own the monthly close process, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and develop reporting that helps leadership make data-driven decisions around inventory, spend, and profitability.

This is a hands-on role that combines accounting discipline with business partnership. You’ll work closely with operations, marketing, and supply chain leaders to evaluate product performance, improve margin visibility, and strengthen cash flow management as BGV scales.

What You’ll Do

  • Directly oversee the accounting operations, including inventory, cost of goods sold, and marketing spend
  • Partner with the CFO to deliver monthly consolidated reporting packages, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and other required
  • KPI measurement and assessment reports
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget and rolling forecasts, collaborating with department leaders to ensure budgets reflect the company’s best assumptions and growth goals
  • Monitor and reconcile key financial systems (e.g., Shopify, ERP, accounting, and inventory platforms) to ensure data accuracy and effective integration between operations and finance
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support cash-flow forecasting, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, and operations teams to analyze channel profitability, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Support ongoing process improvements and implementation of financial controls to support scalability
  • Assist with audit preparation, documentation, and compliance with accounting standards

Recommended Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting and FP&A experience, preferably within a CPG, retail, distribution or e-commerce company
  • Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting, including landed cost analysis, SKU-level margin tracking, and reconciliation of physical vs. book inventory
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel modeling and analysis, including cash forecasting, budget models, and operational reporting
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, or similar
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable in a growth-stage environment where processes evolve and collaboration across teams is essential
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or FP&A credentials are valuable but not required

Location: Chicago (preferred), US Remote possible (CT working hours)

Type: Full-time, Exempt
Target Start Date: December 2025

Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
