Job Description: 

Fungi Perfecti, LLC is a family-owned business dedicated to promoting the cultivation of high-quality gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. In business since 1980, we have been instrumental in developing new technologies and markets for gourmet mushrooms throughout the world.

The Regional Field Sales Manager is responsible for leading field sales activities of Fungi Perfecti’s Host Defense® Mushrooms™ Line in assigned regions. Under the supervision of National Sales Manager, the Regional Field Sales Manager directs and supports broker sales teams and provides leadership to drive revenue, expand market share, and build strong relationships with retail partners. The Regional Field Sales Manager reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

This is a full-time, exempt position, and the company headquarters is located in Olympia, WA. Work may be performed remotely, but frequent travel will be required. Responsibilities herein represent typical elements and criteria considered necessary to perform the job successfully. Other duties may be assigned to meet emerging business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helps develop and executes strategic sales plans to achieve regional revenue and growth targets. 
  • Manages and grows existing customer relationships. 
  • Cultivates and supports professional relationships with all
  • Brokers in specified territory to ensure effective sales practices and sophisticated product knowledge. 
  • Conducts two field visits with Brokers per month in specified territory to assess trends, identify opportunities, ensure product knowledge, and increase brand awareness, presence, and overall revenue in natural brick & mortar channel. 
  • Identifies and closes new business opportunities in specified territory. 
  • Monitors competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies. 
  • Collaborates with marketing to support promotional campaigns and trade show participation. 
  • Maintains high-level educational background on all Company products and materials. 
  • Assists with coordination of National Science Educator’s itinerary in assigned regions and provides sales support to augment trainings and lectures. 
  • Controls expenses to meet company guidelines. 
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team. 
  • Recruits, hires and trains Brokers. 
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of sales and educational programs for brokers and retailers. 
  • Provides timely reports and updates on territory performance. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the natural supplement or nutraceutical industry. 
  • Strong network in the health & wellness or natural retail space is highly desirable. 
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to analyze data strategically, identify trends, and provide high-level insight to improve sales. 
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. 
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills. 
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region. 
  • Must live near a major airport. 
  • Possess a valid driver license.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with supplement regulations (e.g. DSHEA compliance). 
Participation in major industry trade shows (e.g., Expo West, Natural Products Association events).

Salary Range (DOE): $91,000 - $151,000 per year
