JOB FILLED - Vice President of Marketing

Job Description: 
We are looking for a leader to design and execute the company’s omni-channel marketing experience, demand generation and sales activation strategies. This marketing leader will be a key revenue and profit driver for the company with responsibility for deepening the brand’s advocacy with both retailers and direct to consumers ecommerce customers, driving and converting ecommerce traffic to profitable transactions.
  
The VP of Marketing is a catalyst to develop and execute the digital, data-driven, customer activation efforts, omni-channel campaign management, website management and optimization, and all social media activity. Serving as a member of the Executive Leadership team, this individual is a people first, results-oriented leader that will partner cross functionally to gain alignment, build, manage and execute the Marketing & eCommerce vision and strategy.
 
Requirements and skills
  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness.
  • Develop and activate the company’s digital demand generation and consumer Ecommerce strategy, with full P&L accountability. We need someone who brings a “growth hacker” mentality and a laser like focus on incremental and profitable growth.
  • Charged with driving the success of the brand’s retailer and Direct to Consumer business operations through digital marketing, forecasting, budgeting, P&L accountability, site management, site merchandising, and ecommerce analytics.
  • In partnership with other internal teams design the annual marketing and promotional calendar.
  • Coordinate efforts with our product development and sales team so the approach and branded messaging online is integrated, consistent, and optimized for success.
  • Assist in development of our 360° go-to-market planning for new product launches.
  • Provide input to senior leadership to help shape and inform the Annual Operating and Sales Plan including commitment to a range of internal KPI’s.
  • Deploy specific demand generation tools in order to enhance digital merchandising and organic search results to accelerate profitable growth.
  • Manage and perform competitive intelligence to identify promotional activities based on first and third party data that fit the company’s strategy and positioning.
  • Monitor all marketing campaigns and improve them when necessary.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the Executive Leadership team.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
Team/Development:
  • Cultivate a collaborative, creative, motivating environment that values innovation and talent development
  • Inspire and develop a high performing team and gain buy in and partnership to achieve goals with cross functional teams Reporting, Financial/budgeting:
  • Own the Marketing & ecommerce Budget and P&L; reporting on all levels of data for ROI and KPI metrics
  • Manage the financial planning of Marketing & ecommerce across channels, reporting, and reforecasting sales targets and shifting spend to drive performance while adhering to budgets and goals
  • Experienced with marketing analytics and measurement evaluation being able to turn evaluation into media spend optimization

  • Digital marketing ROI; Digital Reach, Frequency & Engagement – Traffic, Conversion,
What you'll need:
  • Direct experience in the natural products industry would be preferred.
  • Recent experience developing digital marketing plans to profitably grow a DTC business.
  • Experience working within SEO/SEM, Email, Affiliates, Retargeting, Social, Content Management, etc.
  • “Data-first, data always” thinking, experienced in blazing fact-based pathways through large, complex data sets to uncover the insights that can transform a business or catapult it to that proverbial next level. We need someone with a bias for actionable insights with a robust “test & learn” approach who is quick to pivot as market conditions warrant.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred

Compensation/Salary: 
$125,000- $140,000
