Position:  Sales Manager

Reports to:  Director of Sales

Full Time – Salaried + Performance Incentive

Location:  TBD

Position Overview

This position will require participation in sales strategy development and accountability for execution of market development & sales objectives.  This position will be responsible for maintaining defined key sales accounts while carefully adding incremental sales through sales channel development & new customers. Day to day sales operations will require collaboration with existing sales team & customer service. 

Expectations

This position will be responsible for contributing to meeting & exceeding the sales budget defined.  A driven personality and accountability are a must.  Existing key accounts and new business development will be expected across all sales channels.  These channels include retail CPG, food service, and industrial sales.  Evaluation of opportunities will be a collaborative effort with the Director of Sales & Marketing. 

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Required:  4-year college degree (or 3+ years of experience)

Preferred: BA in Business; 3+ years of CPG food sales experience.  Retail sales preferred.

 Key Traits –high-energy, assertive, self-motivated, negotiating ability, excellent work ethic, outstanding written & oral communication, strong decision-making ability, confident in group settings, team player, ability to collaborate, sets goals, meets deadlines, trend spotting, challenges viewpoints but can take direction. 

Travel – 30% nationally; (based on opportunities average 1-2 trips per month)
