Position: Executive Account Manager – Health Division

Global food and health ingredient company who is a leading manufacturer in botanical extracts and natural ingredients is opening a technical sales position. The company is well recognized for its quality, reliability and innovation. The new account manager will be part of a team who is leading the aggressive plan of expansion in the North American nutraceutical market.
The position requires strong sales and negotiation skills to maintain and grow Nexira’s market share of the US. Deep knowledge of the nutraceutical industry is mandatory for this position. Business development activities, promotion of new products and applications are also key components of this position. Must be able to effectively manage a national sales territory including call planning, contract negotiation, and presentations to R&D groups. Require experience in developing a strategic sales plan and delivering results. Position territory is in the West Coast (with a preference to be based out of Salt Lake City or Los Angeles area but not mandatory), the position reports to Sales Director for the health division located at the US head office in NJ. There is an expectation of 50% national travel (overnight).
Key responsibilities:
· Develop and implement sales plan in alignment with business strategy.
· Achieve sales and margin targets using available resources.
· Implement sales strategies, including business rules, price rules and sales promotion events as per National Director.
· Prepare sales forecasts and budgets.
· Create sustainable relationships with customers and prospects.
· Maintain frequent and accurate communication with Financial, Customer Service and Supply Chain personnel
· Successfully interacts with technical and new product development contacts at customers and prospects.
· Develops accurate forecasts for customers and delivers sales in line with forecasts
· Understands customer requirements and provide appropriate product solutions
· Maintains existing business on current accounts and develop new business
· Negotiates pricing and sales contracts
· Introduces new products and product applications to targeted accounts
· Converts targeted accounts to new customers with a high success rate
· Achieves profitable sales growth
Requirements:
• Master degree in science & business.
• Work experience: 4-8 years direct sales experience in the nutrition industry, preferably sales experience with food supplement ingredients
• Project management experience
• Excellent oral and written communication and sales presentation skills
• Fluent with sales tools including customer relationship management systems
• Communications and interpersonal understanding skills
• Experience developing and implementing successful account or territory strategies
• Proven track record of success in customer interaction initiatives
