Our heritage for providing health products began when Pat and Rita Mediratta opened three health food stores in Southern California in 1983. Soon after opening the stores, they developed their first product, Colon Cleanse, in response to a need they recognized among their customers. Originally produced in a back room in one of the stores using Psyllium Husk, a dietary fiber long known for its healing properties and traditional uses in India, Colon Cleanse was an instant success. In fact, Colon Cleanse was so successful; it helped create the colon cleansing category in the United States and still dominates the market today. |
