We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance and Accounting to join our executive Leadership team and help the course for our next stage of growth. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to our President, ideal for a seasoned finance leader who excels at building scalable systems, developing high-performing teams, and playing a hands-on role in shaping business strategy-not just managing the close.

What You’ll Do
• Lead all core accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, and monthly close
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting
• Oversee payroll and collaborate on key HR responsibilities like onboarding and benefits
• Guide system optimization using Famous Software and other tools
• Ensure financial compliance with GAAP and PACA standards
• Mentor and lead a 4-person accounting team with a focus on growth and accountability
• Partner closely with company leadership to support strategic decision-making

What You Bring
• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
• Deep understanding of finance operations and process improvement
• Experience in distribution, perishables, or fresh produce preferred
• Familiarity with Famous Software and PACA compliance is a strong plus
• Clear communicator with strong leadership and team development skills
• A proactive, tech-forward mindset and a passion for building better systems
