About Us:

We are a first to market business and we operate fully remotely and are in need of a part-time (will grow into a full-time) national sales manager for the USA to manage our team of brokers and direct store buyer relationships while ensuring that our products are properly merchandised and on shelf.  

This person would lead the sales division of our company and work alongside the coFounders and assist in further growing our brand within the Specialty / Organic channel and make this opportunity their own. 

You:

  • Have a natural ability to cultivate and mange relationships with food brokers, distributors and retailers at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial willingness to take initiative to increase sales with enthusiasm.
  • Educating people about truly pure and transparent products is your passion and you understand the criteria how beyond organic products are compared.
  • Enjoy traveling independently as part of your career.(Once we can travel fully!)
  • Have professional experience and knowledge of the organic and natural food industry (2+ years).
  • Have a thorough knowledge of reading distributor and retail store reports and can present findings in a clear and concise way.
  • Stay abreast of status and changes of industry distribution channels.
  • Have a knowledge or willingness to know about key retail opportunities and source potential retail partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and qualify prospects to identify new retail business, enhanced merchandising, and increase distribution.
  • Create and manage an annual sales forecast and achieve sales goals within an established budget.
  • You will be responsible for developing, articulating, and carryout a strategic plan and tactics to nurture business relationships, product knowledge, and merchandising. 
  • Reach revenue, P&L and key business growth targets at the national level.
  • Utilize and manage brokers, distributors, and submit promos to retail accounts as well as accomplish what is needed. 
  • Provide brokers, distributors, and retailers in the territories with measurable goals.
  • Coordinate sales and promotional efforts as needed with distributor and retailers.
  • Create and deploy organized business systems in a cloud based system and be able to utilize them. 
  • Align your work with our company’s sales and marketing needs and efforts. Communicate Company messages consistent with our company’s strategy and needs. Understand the connection between an online presence and how it effects retail as well.
  • Oversee contract negotiation and legal documents as it relates to sales.
  • Identify market trends and develop action plans.
  • Support and execute key project management procedures for new product launches and company initiatives.
  • Assist in planing and attending trade shows throughout the year.
  • Submit a weekly account report, monthly calendar, and sales planner.
  • You will control all regional territories as our company’s National Sales Manager as we are still small and nimble.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years outside and/or retail sales experience
  • product knowledge helpful but not required, but a willingness to go deep is preferred!

Additional Skills: 

  • Ability to travel  
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently and manage time effectively and efficiently 
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel & Word)
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficiency in understanding and reading vendor reports and velocity reports as well as populating report data into clear presentations for coFounders.
