Position Summary:

The Fulfillment Supervisor will supervise order picking and labelling activities and employees to meet customer demand. The supervisor will monitor department performance and identify and implement efficiency-gaining initiatives in order to consistently achieve Key Performance metrics in an FDA regulated facility.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • Leads an order fulfillment department with both manual and automated processes
  • Transacts order and inventory processing in an ERP system
  • Actively strives for 100% customer order fulfillment
  • Identifies and implements improvements throughout the department to raise customer service levels
  • Directs the daily tasks of fulfillment personnel
  • Manages performance and development of staff to include training, recognition, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations
  • Manages finished good and supply inventories, reports inventory adjustments to management and inventory control personnel.
  • Orders supplies to maintain adequate inventory to ensure no disruption to production activities
  • Leads teams and projects as assigned
  • Attends all safety compliance meetings and have monthly department safety meetings.
  • Maintains building and personnel to federal cGMP, OSHA compliance, social and environmental responsibility requirements.
  • Ensures that standard operating procedures (SOP’s), as set forth in the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) document control system or Electronic Document Control System and/or in process data collection forms, are followed and accurately completed by all distribution personnel. Revises as procedures change to keep SOP’s up to date.
  • Coordinates training of distribution/Warehouse personnel for all equipment and Standard Operating Procedures. Maintains training records required by law on all employees.
  • Maintains a safe and clean facility/work environment by supervising direct reports in cleaning processes including machines, floors, walls and entry/exits during and prior to the end of the assigned shift.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems; assist employees in solving work related problems.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management; or related discipline and five years of experience. Will consider applicable experience in lieu of an undergraduate degree.

  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, SOP’s and cGMP regulations and guidelines.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with building/updating spreadsheets

Compensation/Salary: 
$54,000 to $64,000
