We are currently seeking a National Sales Manager to join our team in a remote capacity.

This role is responsible for mentoring, coaching, developing, and managing a team of field Sales Managers. The primary focus for this role is to lead, provide direction and set expectations with the Sales Managers to increase sales within a variety of channels, with existing wholesale accounts and the acquisition of new wholesale accounts. 

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, onboard, train, coach, mentor and manage the Sales Manager team for existing and new territories.
  • Provide consistent direction and expectations for the Sales Managers to maintain a high level of productivity. Work with direct reports to establish sound organizational skills (laptop, smart phone, car) and efficient regional call cycle routing for proper account and prospect reach and frequency.
  • Devise and implement effective account strategies for consistent sales growth.
  • Ensure the timely, accurate completion and submission of all subordinate administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure the Sales Managers are accountable for the proper use of company systems (e.g., MS Outlook, Sales Reporting, CRM Reporting, etc.) and allocation of company resources and collateral (e.g., Entertainment funds, Co-op funds, Product Sampling, etc.)
  • Devise tracking for solicited leads and conversion to new business
  • Work with Sales and Wholesale Marketing teams to develop strategies and implement promotional plans that generate needed sales growth within identified accounts, across each region.
  • Serve as a mentor and a resource to the Sales Managers with wholesale prospecting, departmental presentations, negotiations, and strategic planning.
  • Establish quarterly goals, and sales objectives for each Sales Manager; work closely with direct reports to ensure departmental sales goals are met and exceeded, with consistency.
  • Work with Executive leadership to establish and maintain an equitable commission structure.
  • Attend and exhibit at Local, Regional and National trade shows. 
  • Maintain knowledge of all LE products and their differentiation with other brands in the market.
  • 75% travel is an essential function of this position.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university strongly preferred. 
  • 10+ years of field sales, account management and business development experience.
  • 10+ years of successful experience managing a field sales team (Nutraceutical or Pharmaceutical experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated record of building, coaching, mentoring and leading successful field sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide sound direction, set realistic expectations and maintain accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate effective group presentations.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel nationwide up to 75%
