Who you are:
You’re a sales junkie with incredible follow-through and organizational skills. You have an established network of contacts in grocery, retail, and distribution channels, and you’re equipped to help build our Omni-channel sales strategy. You have an established track record as a sales professional and need little coaching. You’re a self-starter and a highly motivated deal-closer. Whether you are part of an on-site team or working remotely, you have your eye on the prize! You love great products, contribute to a positive company culture, and it’s a real bonus if you’re a little bit of a nerd for plants and farming - because everything we do is rooted in sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

Your skills:
you know the world of CPG like the back of your hand, and you know how to sell! You’re experienced with CRM software like Pipedrive, and task management tools like Basecamp. You’ve used invoicing software like quickbooks and maybe even WMS software like Dear Systems. You have outstanding communication skills, and always follow-through on leads. You’re a team player who likes to have fun and contributes to a positive culture. You can handle a crisis or two, and you don’t let minor obstacles get in the way of success.

Your experience:
you’ve worked for a CPG company recently in a sales role for at least a few years. You understand an Omni channel approach to selling, and you’re equipped with the skills and experience to help us grow our sales in grocery and retail, e-commerce, and any other opportunities that come your way. You have established relationships with buyers, brokers, and distributors you can leverage to help us earn new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Collaborate with senior management, marketing, and national accounts to communicate and execute against company strategic direction, priorities, and financial guardrails as you evaluate rolling forecasts.
2. Establish measurable goals by territory and customer (that eventually will lead to hiring of Area Sales Managers in key markets that you would manage).
3. Establish and manage partnerships with Distributors and our Brokers, along with creating incentive programs for performance from both. Set KPIs and track monthly to ensure clear goals and expectations.
4. Manage key retailers: establish promotion calendars, new item sell-in and tracking, trade spend investment planning, post-promo analysis, and retail programs, focusing on driving awareness and trial through secondary placement, shipper programs and demos.
5. Build innovative presentations for total business and distribution partners designed to initiate excitement for the brand and action-oriented response.
6. Conceive of and execute big-picture short- and long-term plans for portfolio architecture, territory expansion, marketing support, budgets, sales forecasts by SKU, and distributors.
7. Execute retail marketing trade programs in partnership with the Marketing team for your region (includes, POP, Demo's, retailer programs, retailer events, trade programs).

Travel ~15 times per year within the USA to customer meetings, team events and trade shows.

Participate in out-of-store marketing events in local markets that are key to brand success and energy in that market.

Location: this position can be located on-site in Edgewater, Florida or Clarksdale, Mississippi, and can also be REMOTE.
