Author Darryl Benjamin is passionate about sustainable food and nature, and cares deeply about social justice. Benjamin lectures on food systems and documents the struggle to attain sustainable balance through his writing and photographs. Benjamin holds an MFA in Writing as well as a Certificate of Leadership in Sustainable Food Systems (University of Vermont). He is also principal of The GMO Breakthrough Education Project, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming global food systems through education. Benjamin taught writing and Farm to Table issues at New England Culinary Institute for more than six years. Currently, Darryl lectures and conducts seminars on sustainable food systems, GMOs, and Farm to Table. His forthcoming book, The Farm to Table Handbook, co-written with Chef Lyndon Virkler, will be available on Amazon on October 22, 2016.
