Sales focus on Eastern/Midwest United States sales territories (in general this constitutes the New York Tri-state area and parts of the Midwest including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, as well as Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana). Your mission will be to ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through strategic planning and interaction with the purchasing/sourcing team and other company departments as needed. Collaborate with senior management in establishing and recommending areas of interest/opportunity to grow sales – such as exports, bakery programs, or other more specific items of interest.

A little about this role:  
Sales Representatives are the face of our organization. This full-time outside sales position is responsible for their territory accounts, as well as developing new customers via email or telephone interactions. 

Due to the nature of this role, it is required to live in the assigned territory. You will travel from time to time as you are expected to meet in-person with customers and visit customers’ stores, manufacturing, and warehouse locations. Sales Representatives are self-starters with strong sales skills or experience. They are highly motivated, passionate and dependable individuals who can sell and execute initiatives successfully with a wide variety of people.  

Must have a clean driving record, reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current insurance.

Details of Functions:

  • Utilize MO’s proprietary CRM to track and manage sales opportunities and keep the CRM information current – this will be assisted by MO’s Customer Service team;
  • Perform sales activities on assigned accounts and negotiate sales price and discounts in consultation with purchasing and senior management;
  • Review progress of sales for your territory regularly, including quarterly and monthly analysis of new customers, lost sales, other opportunities;
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies to improve market share across all product lines in your geographic sales sectors and beyond;
  • Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams as accurately as possible;
  • Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all products across all sales sectors, especially what senior management deems to be our “Top 20 items”;
  • Coordinate proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales result;
  • Interpret short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.

Compensation range: Salary range is between $65,000 to $85,000, salary commensurate with level of experience, location and current market landscape
