Euromed SA (headquartered in Barcelona, Spain) is a leading global manufacturer of high quality and innovative botanical extracts -- serving the dietary supplement, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries for over 50 years.

We are seeking a Western Regional Sales Manager (North America) for the Western Region (remote based home office).

Description

  • Provide the commercial sales leadership, discipline and initiatives required to fulfill objectives, plans and budgets for Western North America, reporting to the US General Manager.
  • Grow the business by proactively developing new reputable customers and identifying new growth opportunities with existing customers.
  • Deliver accurate short and medium-term sales plans and forecasts based on analysis of sales and new business development initiatives with customers and products.
  • Continuingly monitor product sales and variances, achieve performance/financial objectives.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of the company’s extensive product portfolio, distinctions among the products, detailed knowledge of specifications, agility in understanding scientific documentation, analytical methods, etc.
  • Leverage Euromed’s internal resources including marketing, product development, technology & innovation, and the group’s unique vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively understand and present to customers the science related features of the company’s distinguished products -- analytic and pharmacokinetic.
  • Stay informed of government regulations of dietary supplement and food ingredients.
  • Work with management and collaborate cross-functionally with all colleagues in the company to coordinate and implement the group’s objectives and activities within the region.
  • Communicate with accounting on receivables, assist on collection of receivables as needed.
  • Knowledgeable about import practices, global supply-chain, and logistics.
  • Participate in US and Canada based national industry trade shows.
  • Frequent travel to visit customers throughout the Western US and Canada.
  • Travel to Spain annually to participate in the company’s global sales meeting.
  • Travel: Ability to travel at least 30% of the time -- primarily within Western US.
  • Time allocation: 50% new business development / 50% account maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of field sales experience and strong relationships with customers in the dietary supplement (nutraceutical) industry, with proven track record of growing sales and profit margin year-over-year, with a focus of selling high-quality, value-added, and differentiated nutraceutical ingredients.
  • Exceptional recent college graduate could be considered for mentorship-training program, entering as Sales Representative.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required. Preferably in a scientific discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology, food science), or Business related.
  • Must be organized, opportunistic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This job requires someone who is self-motivated, ambitious, highly determined and not easily deterred. Possess self-initiative and an “entrepreneurial” spirit. The person must have exceptional interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills (high EQ, low ego).
