Dating back to 1967, Erma’s delivers the finest in vitamins and supplements along with a full line health food selection that features organic foods, grass-fed beef, free range chicken and eggs, organic produce, one of the largest selections of gluten-free, Keto and Paleo foods in Texas, a huge selection of vegetarian and vegan foods, local kombuchas, and a full line of health, beauty and skin care products.
In 2004, we started the Nassau Bay Farmers Market, featuring all organic selections of locally grown and produced products including the freshest produce available anywhere (picked on Thursday and Friday, sold to you on Saturday), frozen free-range chicken and eggs, grass-fed beef, hand-made soaps, local honey, hand crafted salsas, local kombucha, baked gluten-free, sourdough, Keto and Paleo goods, and fresh greens.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Health Food Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our store- Houston (Nassau Bay), TX ONLY.

The Health Food Store Manager oversees all operational aspects of the store, including inventory management, customer service, enhancing customer satisfaction, staff management, meeting sales goals, financial performance and promoting a healthy lifestyle to customers.

Our ideal candidate has a strong passion for health and wellness, possesses excellent leadership skills, and has a proven track record in retail management.
Responsibilities

  • Manage Saturday farmers market outside the store.
  • Must be knowledgeable about health food products and able to guide customers towards making beneficial choices for their health and wellness.  
  • Must be able to teach store employees about products and services sold by the store.
  • Manage and oversee store personnel, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient store operation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items as needed.
  • Determine products to be stocked for sale in the store..
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve store sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on health food trends and products to provide knowledgeable service to customers.
  • Create staff schedules, manage payroll, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer complaints and queries professionally.
  • Coordinate employee training and development.
  • Plan and oversee in-store promotional events and displays.
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Store Manager, preferably in a health food store.
  • Knowledge of health food products and the latest industry trends.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Customer-oriented approach.
  • Strong social media skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including Saturdays, and evenings as needed.
  • BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field is a plus.
