Supplements
The dietary supplement industry is thriving with U.S. sales anticipated to far surpass $50B in 2020.
With America’s growing interest in self-care, approximately 75% of American adults take dietary supplements—including vitamins and minerals, botanicals, sports nutrition, weight management and specialty supplements (like omega-3s, prebiotics, probiotics, etc.).
A 2016 economic impact report by John Dunham and Associates (and funded by an industry trade association) found the industry employed more than 750,000 Americans. Employers range from large multinational corporations (ingredient suppliers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, retailers) to entrepreneurial companies, health food stores and niche organizations such as testing labs, third-party certifiers and regulatory and legal consultancies.
Dietary Supplement jobs cover a broad range, from sales and marketing jobs, to operations jobs, R&D Jobs such as formulators and chemists, merchandising jobs, account and finance jobs and more.
