Job Description: 

The Production Manager is accountable and responsible for supervising factory safety of workers, production schedules, production control, productivity improvements, and providing training to production workers. Not only does this position require know-how on production, it also needs to understand equipment sanitation, be accurate, efficient, productive, as well as understand quality controls.

This position is accounted for GMP and workers' safety compliance and ensuring on-job specific training is provided to production workers. Additionally, the production manager position is accountable for ensuring that production schedule is executed, and finished products produced are meeting quality parameters.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality and quantity of output. We expect you to have deep know-how and quick learning on production processes & procedures.

Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making, problem-solving, and many initiatives will take up a great part of your day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process and environment that meets production requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison with other managers and work under senior leader to achieve set objectives and goals
  • Cost conscious on production and controls
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
  • Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
  • Review maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Enforce health and safety precautions
  • Report to upper management

Skills

  • Proven experience as production leader
  • Deep knowledge of production management
  • Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office; Experience with Monday.com is a plus
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • BSc/Ba in natural science, engineering, chemistry, or biology
