Coconut Bliss is seeking a Field Activation Intern (FAI) to facilitate the spreading of Bliss in the SoPac region. The primary responsibility of the FAI is to create and maintain strong relationships with retailers, restaurants & alternative channel accounts in their region. This person will develop & maintain a consistent & progressive strategy to build brand awareness for Coconut Bliss through management of independent & alternate channel opportunities. Examples of alternate channels are scoop shops, café’s, sporting event centers, recreation areas & mass transit centers. This role is responsible for creating feedback loops that report ROI on executed campaigns to constantly improve and validate our field strategy.

Ideal candidates will be passionate about organic food, have excellent customer service and relationship building skills, strong organizational skills and an efficiency mindset.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education – High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
  • Experience

    • Prior experience in a sales and/or customer service role is required
    • Prior consumer goods experience is strongly preferred
  • Schedule is generally 20 hours per week, and flexible to fit Intern’s availability
  • Travel: Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel throughout the assigned geography, occasional overnight travel for trade shows and/or market tours is possible
  • Physical: The majority of the Field Activation Intern’s duties are performed on location. The following abilities are required:

    • Walking, sitting, standing, seeing, hearing, typing, talking
    • Carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Technical:

    • Intern must have a phone, computer and internet to perform this job; a stipend of $40/month will be provided to cover costs
    • Must be computer literate and able to quickly learn platforms used by the Company

Principle Duties

Field Sales/Engagement (70%)
• Makes regular sales calls, in person, to establish and/or maintain relationships with independent &
alternative accounts.
• Develops & maintains strategic campaigns to evaluate & reports on present opportunities.
• Regularly reviews results to determine strategy and ROI for campaign efforts.
• Constantly considers and offers counsel on how Coconut Bliss can increase brand presence in given market.
• Actively engages the public as a representative for Coconut Bliss with thoughtful awareness of the Bliss ethos & brand personality.
 
Preparation & Follow Up Engagement of Field Accounts (20%)

• Researches all accounts within specific account type in geographic area.
• Calls main contact at account and confirms availability prior to engagement.
• Emails following engagement detailing next steps and supporting client relationship.
• Keeps detailed notes regarding all customer interactions in TurnLink.
 
Foodservice Support (10%)

• Assists National Sales Manager, Food Service as needed with market engagement support.
